Implant Overdentures: Snap-In Stability, Exact Pricing

An implant overdenture is a denture that snaps onto implants instead of floating on your gums, and for patients around Spring Hope, Rocky Mount, and Nashville who are tired of adhesive, slipping, and dentures that retire to a nightstand cup, it’s usually the upgrade that changes everything. Dr. Abboud places the implants and makes the denture under one roof, with package prices published below.

The Problem With Conventional Dentures

A traditional lower denture rests on a shrinking ridge of gum and stays put mostly through hope and adhesive. Eating corn on the cob, laughing mid-conversation, biting into an apple: denture wearers know exactly which moments they’ve learned to avoid. And because gums keep shrinking under a denture, the fit loosens year after year.

How an Overdenture Fixes It

Dr. Abboud places two or three implants in your jaw. Your denture gets matching attachments built into its underside, and it snaps onto the implants with a satisfying click. It doesn’t rock when you chew. It doesn’t need adhesive. It doesn’t move when you talk. You still remove it at night for cleaning, but while it’s in, it’s anchored to bone.

The implants do something else valuable: they load the jawbone the way tooth roots used to, which slows the bone shrinkage that makes conventional dentures, and faces, collapse over time.

The Packages

Package Price VIP Plan Member
2-Implant Snap-In Overdenture (lower arch): extractions/grafts as needed, 2 implants, attachments, overdenture $10,000 $8,000
3-Implant Overdenture (lower arch): with our in-house fabricated denture $13,500 $10,800
3-Implant Overdenture (lower arch): with a premium lab denture $15,000 $12,000
4-Implant Overdenture (upper arch): with our in-house fabricated denture $15,500 $12,400
4-Implant Overdenture (upper arch): with a premium lab denture $17,000 $13,600

The price you see is the price you pay. Whatever your case needs inside your package (extractions, grafts, membrane, all of it), the number doesn’t change. That’s not how most offices quote implant dentures, and it’s deliberate.

A word about the upper arch. Upper bone is softer and a palate-free snap-in needs more anchors, four implants instead of two, which is why the upper packages cost more and why, honestly, we usually recommend All-on-X for uppers instead: for not much more you get teeth that are fixed in permanently. If a removable upper is still the right call for your hands, your habits, or your budget, the four-implant packages above are exactly what they cost.

Two implants or three on the lower? Two is the proven minimum for a stable lower overdenture; three adds retention and spreads the load, often the sweet spot for patients who want maximum chew power without stepping up to a fixed arch. In-house denture or premium lab? Same choice our denture patients make: our SprintRay-printed in-house dentures deliver excellent quality at a lower price, while premium lab dentures from top American labs offer the most lifelike esthetics. Dr. Abboud walks you through both at your consult.

Dr. Abboud’s Take

“One of my favorite things a patient has told me: they’d had steak for the first time in years, and the denture didn’t budge. That’s what three stable implants do for a lower denture. It’s the biggest quality-of-life jump per dollar in dentistry. And if your current denture still fits well, we can often retrofit it instead of starting over.”

— Dr. Elie Abboud, DDS

Overdenture or Fixed All-on-X?

Both anchor to implants; the difference is that an overdenture snaps out for cleaning while All-on-X is fixed in permanently. The overdenture costs less ($10,000 to $17,000 vs $25,000 per arch), is easier to clean for many patients, and still ends the slipping-denture era. All-on-X feels the most like natural teeth and never comes out. There’s no wrong answer. There’s the right answer for your bone, your hands, your budget, and your priorities. We’ll lay both options side by side at your consultation without steering you toward the bigger number.

Everything Happens Here

Most offices send you to a surgeon for implants, then make the denture after: two offices, two timelines, two bills that may not add up to what anyone told you. Dr. Abboud plans your case on a 3D CBCT scan, places the implants (with osseodensification to preserve your bone), and delivers your overdenture, all at our Spring Hope office. One team accountable for the whole result.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do snap-in dentures cost?
Here, exactly $10,000 for a 2-implant lower overdenture, $13,500 or $15,000 with three implants depending on the denture, and $15,500 or $17,000 for the four-implant upper versions. Extractions, grafting, implants, attachments, and the denture are all included. VIP members save 20%.

Can my current denture be converted to snap onto implants?
Often, yes. If your denture is in good shape and fits well, we can retrofit it with snap-in attachments after placing the implants. Retrofits run at our standard fees rather than a package price: implant placement at $2,519 each, $641 to modify your denture, and $986 per attachment, about $7,700 all-in for a typical two-implant lower, with VIP members saving 20% on all of it. If your denture is worn, the $10,000 package with a brand-new overdenture is usually the smarter spend. Your consult compares both numbers in writing.

How long does the whole process take?
Similar to other implant treatment: implants are placed and heal for a few months while you wear a temporary or your existing denture, then the final overdenture snaps on. Most cases complete within about 3 to 5 months.

Do I still take it out at night?
Yes. Nightly removal for cleaning is part of what keeps the implants and gums healthy, and it’s the main lifestyle difference from fixed All-on-X.

Will it let me eat normally again?
That’s the point. Snap-in stability brings back most of what conventional dentures took off the menu. Very hard and very sticky foods still deserve respect, but the everyday list gets dramatically longer.
