Nervous Patients — Our Comfort Promise

Nervous patients

If the dentist makes you anxious, or it’s been years and you’re dreading the lecture, you’re exactly who this practice was built for. Fear of the dentist is one of the most common fears there is, and we take it seriously.

Our Comfort Promise

  • No lectures. No judgment. Ever. However long it’s been, whatever shape your teeth are in, you’ll be met with kindness. Getting here was the hard part, and you did it.
  • You stay in control. We explain before we do, we show you what we see on your own images, and nothing happens until you say so. Need a break mid-visit? Raise a hand and we stop.
  • Technology that removes the worst parts. Digital 3D scans instead of goopy impressions, quiet electric handpieces instead of the old whine, and gentle digital X-rays.
  • Real comfort options. Blankets, pillows, sunglasses, warm towels, and refreshments. And when you need more help relaxing, we offer nitrous oxide and oral sedation.
  • Honest plans at your pace. We’ll tell you what’s urgent and what can wait, with real prices, so you can take care of things step by step.

Your First Visit, Your Pace

Your first appointment is thorough and unhurried: your assistant takes digital X-rays and a 3D scan, our hygienist checks your gum health, and Dr. Abboud or Dr. Hilary goes over everything with you, questions welcome, no pressure. If you’d like, tell us you’re nervous when you book. We’ll take extra care of you.

I haven’t been to the dentist in years. Will you judge me?

No. And I want to answer the question underneath that one too, because it’s usually “how bad is it, and what is this going to cost me?”

People walk in here after five, ten, sometimes twenty years away. The reasons are almost always ordinary: a rough experience as a kid, a hard stretch of life, a fear that got bigger the longer it sat. Nobody on this team is going to lecture you about it. Getting here was the hard part.

Here’s what actually happens. We look before we talk about treatment. Digital X-rays, a 3D scan, and photos of your own teeth on the screen, so you see exactly what I see. Then we sort everything into three groups: what needs attention now, like infection, pain, or a tooth that’s breaking; what should be planned over the next few months; and what can wait or may never need anything.

The honest part: sometimes the news is hard. If a tooth can’t be saved, I’ll tell you plainly, and I’ll walk you through every way to replace it, including the less expensive ones. Waiting longer rarely makes treatment smaller, so the visit you’re dreading is usually the one that saves you money.

On cost, you get a written plan with real prices before anything starts, and we break it into steps so you aren’t handed one giant number on day one. We check your insurance benefits for free. No insurance? Our VIP plan takes 20% off treatment, and Cherry, Sunbit, and CareCredit can spread payments out. If another office already handed you a plan that scared you off, bring those X-rays and the written plan. My second opinion is free.

And nothing happens without your OK. Raise a hand and we stop. If nerves are the real barrier, nitrous oxide and oral sedation are both options here.
